Preparing for the Retreat

The last few days I have been busy packing and prepping for the very first ever Project QUILTING Retreat!  I’m super excited about it and can’t wait to spend an extended weekend quilting in the luxurious Woodland Ridge Retreat!  And a bonus – the weather is going to be just fine for driving!

Everyone attending is going to be given a Project QUILTING Challenge at precisely 1:00pm on Friday, January 16th and it will be time for the runway with a FINISHED quilt at 11:00am on Sunday, January 18th!   suitcase

This little suitcase has all the clothes I’ll need for three and half days.  If you know me and my packing skills – this is TINY for me!  I’m trying to be minimal on the clothing front since the fabric/tools/supply front is pretty extensive.  AND three of us and our stuff is all going to fit in my mini van for the trek up!  The more the merrier right!?

One thing I am for sure not going to forget is this gorgeous painting by Annie Young Arts.  She generously donated this beautiful painting to give away to one lucky participant of the Project QUILTING Retreat!  I SO wish I could qualify to win prizes for my own contests/events!!!!

If you want to follow along on the fun I’ll be instagram-ing the whole event – just follow hashtag

It will almost be like you’re there with us!
