Last November I finished my quilt “Sake Bomb” for the Modern Quilts “Unlimited Everything Old is New Again Challenge”.
There was voting and I hounded everyone for their votes, and my friends hounded their friends for votes for me and then their friends hounded their friends for votes and so forth. The team effort paid off and I was proudly chosen as the winner! It was surreal! I won an amazing prize pack that included tons of fabric from Michael Miller, a prize basket from Modern Quilts Unlimited, piles of batting from Mountain Mist, and a fantastic amount of thread from Superior Threads. It’s been amazing!
The other week my final prize arrived at my door … a brand new Lyric sewing machine from Baby Lock!
This is the first time I’ve ever won a sewing machine and I have to admit it felt pretty awesome.
The Lyric is all set up and has been played on and sewed on. I know this may sound silly to many but the automatic threading on this machine is incredible! So quick, easy and no hassle. It has TONS of gorgeous stitch options (perfect for making the Dresden Neighborhood) and I don’t know about you, but once you have a machine that cuts it’s own thread it’s hard to go back – and don’t worry, the Lyric cuts its own thread.
Thank you to all the sponsors for the prizes and thank you to all of you for voting for my quilt! I couldn’t have done it without you!
